ING offers 4.75%, Emigrant goes to 4.25%

Emigrant Direct has raised the interest rate on their American Dream savings account to 4.25%. As if on queue, ING Direct is offering 4.75% on new deposits between January 19th and April 15th. The Orange savings account currently pays 3.8% and will do so after April 15th. Great place to put your early tax returns.

ING Direct 3.8% plus $25 on Signup

ING Direct is paying 3.8% on its savings account right now. I've got an account with them and really like their web interface. It isn't has high as Emigrant Direct's 4.0%, but if you email me at 2e{at}xents.com I can get you a signup bonus of $25. Trick is that you have to put in at least $250 into you account. Either way it is your call.

To start with lets talk EmigrantDirect. I haven't used them yet, but I hear they are good. They offer a savings account with a 4.0% return, highest rate available. Worth a shot if you got some money to sit on, and still higher than most CDs.
